Semper Fidelis Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 880
 
Advancement ceremony meeting, Monday 20th October 2025, at the Masonic Temple, St. Annes.
21 Brethren present, including a number of visitors, plus the candidate.
The opening ode was sung to get the evening moving along.
The WM. Bro. David Pallister opened the meeting and proceeded to work through the agenda.
A ballot was taken for Bro. Stephen Beastall which proved in favour.
The WM then asked VWBro. Howard Emmett to take the chair in order to conduct the ceremony, which he did and proceeded to advance Brother Beastall in fine style accompanied by the Officers of the Lodge and a number of worthy subs; WBro. Clive Gitsham MO and WBro. Paul Smedley IG.
VWBro. Emmett then asked WBro. David Kenworthy to carry out the final part of the ceremony including the working tools, which he did in a sincere and exemplary fashion.
An excellent Advancement ceremony by very experienced Masons!
WBro. Tony Cross presented the newly advanced Brother with a letter of welcome from the RWPGM.
The WM retook the chair and thanked VWBro. Emmett and WBro. Kenworthy for their help with the ceremony.
The final business on the summons was worked through by the WM, and the Lodge was closed. After the obligatory photo shoot, all the Brethren adjourned to the bar and onto the Festive Board where an excellent meal was provided by the chef.
A raffle organized by Bro. David Whyman raised £130!
